Seller not replying to case....

It is so so frustrating!

Basically I won an item at auction. Paid instantly. Seller marked as shipped. After a week I messaged and turns out they hadn't posted it the same day they marked as shipped and actually couldn't say which day it had been posted! Waited a few more days and then informed them again no parcel.
Seller said they would claim from Royal Mail but wouldn't refund me until RM refund them incase RM don't refund them then they won't refund me!
Lots of messages went back and forth where they basically accused me of receiving the parcel but lying to rip them off!
I eventually just said I wasn't playing anymore and would open a case.
I did that and of course! The sellers has now decided not to respond to the case.
It pisses me off. Parcel still hasn't shown up and they could respond to messages INSTANTLY accusing me but I can guarantee that Ebay will have to force the refund and seller will never reply to the case.

Just annoying having to wait and do nothing. I don't get why people behave this way!!

Did you use PayPal?

LittleMissRayofHope · 29/03/2015 23:03

Yes. But even PayPal won't force the refund until eBay close the case. I know I'll be refunded it's just annoying that the seller has to behave like a petulant child

If you've opened a case you can escalate it after 8 days. This is when ebay will intervene. Unless the seller can provide tracking information which shows delivery to your address ebay will rule in your favour and you will be refunded.
I had a similar no response to a case I opened a few weeks ago until I left negative feedback, suddenly the seller got in touch and 2 days later the item arrived.

Leave a neg and low stars in the mean time - seller sounds horrid.

robin64 · 30/03/2015 12:25

Sounds like a poor seller and I'm afraid it does sound like they deserve a neg and low stars. They should have sent tracked. Don't communicate with them now just go through ebay INR process. They should refund you THEN claim from RM if they have POP cert but to be fair buyer should A. check with sorting office B. check with neighbours in case attempt to deliver has been made. No need for them to be rude and you can report to ebay if they are aggressive in communication.

LittleMissRayofHope · 30/03/2015 13:07

I did try to check at sorting office. They refused to look without the red card. I only have 3 neighbours, all of whom would have handed it over by now if they had it.

Seller has 100% so I am slightly surprised!

If seller used Ebay postage then Ebay automatically sent a dispatched email. It's supposed to save time, but is actually a nuisance because tells you nothing about when or even if something actually went into the post. Everything else about Seller sounds awful.

If the seller doesn't respond then escalate the case asap (think this option appears after about a week), you should automatically be refunded. Make sure you leave factual, negative feedback too.
