Hi there - please answer if you can.

I sold an item and the seller has messaged through ebay to change the delivery address. Am I ok to do this or could there be a chance that I'll deliver to this address and then they say they didn't receive it and ebay would decide that I should have delivered to the registered address meaning that I would have lost the money and the sale?

no - only send to the address given by paypal. Or refund and tell them to add the alternative as a gift address which they select at checkout. And send tracked.

Only send to the pay-pal address always as you will not be covered by ebay gaurentee always send tracked myhermes is my favourite.

I agree with previous posters, only ever send to the PayPal address.

as a buyer, sellers have always sent to a non registered address - ie my work address - as parcels to my home address would go to the sorting office...

Tell them you'll send once they've updated their PayPal address to match. Or they can send a bank transfer or postal order.

Aridane - if your work address isn't a gift address then those sellers will have no seller protection.

if you weren't planning on sending the item tracked, then I just send it to the alternative address. If it's a larger item that you will be sending by a traceable delivery method, then yes, only send to the pay pal registered address.
