He's paid but he lives in the next town and I'm there today

So I sold somthing on eBay, he's paid and everything is good. I was just writing out his address and he lives about 20 minutes from me. I'm in his town today anyway and could easily deliver the package myself.
But would I then have to refund postage? He would obviously know I hadn't used Royal Mail.
It's only second class £2.80 postage.
But I don't want him to start asking for postage refund when he sees no stamp on his parcel.
Also, if he decides to say he never received the package I will have no proof of postage so wouldn't be able to claim back on Royal Mail.

Is it easier to just post it? What would you do?

Post it,I've had this before, it's easier to post as they've paid for it and it covers you.

you should only deliver if he pays cash. And £2.80 isn't tracked so isn't proof of delivery so not really sufficient.

No it's not proof of delivery it's proof of postage. So if he did decide to say he hadn't received it. I can still claim a lost item on Royal Mail.

I posted it anyway, thank you.
