I am an ebay addict who has been v fortunate to have had no issues (so far) buying or selling...

...until I bought something a few weeks ago which didn't arrive. Contacted the seller who apologised. She had forgotten to post it and marked it as sent the very next day. The night out I had bought the dress for came and went (Angry) - still no sign. Contacted again, days until an unapologetic message saying it had been sent but she would issue a refund. Checked my sorting office during the week just in case & mailed seller to let her know it wasn't there. No reply. No item. No refund.

Would you leave negative feedback at this stage? She's not left feedback for me as yet & fear a retaliation! Confused

Just open a PayPal dispute?

MsTrunchbull · 07/03/2015 21:34

Thanks - have you had experience of this?

I've had this before, the seller said she would send a refund, then stalled and ignored me.

You have 30 days to open a dispute so on day 28 I did.
The seller seemed quite annoyed, I suspect she though she was going to get away with not sending one, apparently this has become a frequent 'trick' with questionable sellers since the time limit to open desputes has been reduced, if there is ever an issue offer a refund but then just stall until the time has expired and they can't file a despute.

Uh oh... Yeah, get the impression I'm being ignored... Resolution centre it is then, thanks for the advice Smile

I wouldn't hesitate to file a claim. No one cares about feedback anyway (esp not the buyer's feedback). I would only wait about a week from complaint to refund.

Cool - am on it, just filled in the form. Like I said, I'm a complete buying & selling addict, but this is new territory. Must be very lucky. Thanks you guys Grin

Hi,Just remember to answer all information through ebay and they can monitor the response from seller don't say anything detrimental about her just keep the the responses to the point "that you want a refund",this is happening too many times at present I am waiting for a part from a seller to complete a purchase I made and he is stalling also, so on Tuesday I am going to escalate the claim I bet I get a response from him then ?? best of luck with your refund, you should win the case no probs.

CloserToFiftyThanTwenty · 08/03/2015 11:44

Just had similar happen to me - opened a case through the resolution centre and finally got seller to initiate a refund. First time it's happened, and really didn't want to go down this route

MsTrunchbull · 09/03/2015 13:17

Was very factual in filing my claim. 36 hours later & no response. Not exactly filled with confidence here... Hmm
