I bought an item on ebay which was unsuitable. It's a costume type item sold as one size fits all. I'm pretty average sized and it's twice the size of me. So, I returned the item for a refund but it has apparently not been received the other end.
What do I do now? I have a proof of postage (receipt with buyer's address hand written on) but royal mail website states that an 'item reference number' is required in order to claim compensation. I don't have this. Is it possible for me to claim the money back somehow? It only cost £20 plus I paid £3 return postage. Am I likely to get any of this back?
