Cash on collection instead of posting

Had an email asking if someone can collect instead of me posting it to them, I have no problem with this only not sure how it would work with marking as dispatched and the postage charge as you can tell I'm a new seller any help appreciated

When they have collected it and paid, just mark it as dispatched. The system doesn't care if it's posted or collected.

Can you change your listing to collection? That will take off postage charge. Or just ask buyer for the selling price minus postage.

Don't think I can edit there is less than 24 hrs left, thanks for your help though il message back to say yes, there is a lot of interest so they may well not win it and it won't matter anyway Grin

yes but make sure it is cash on collection...Not paypal as there have been cases of people claiming not recieved when collected...Also will cancel any paypal fees

I have a regular buyer that collects in person.

If he's the winning bidder I invoice him with the postage removed and add a note to make clear that it's cash on collection.

As soon as he's collected and paid I mark the item as despatched and paid for.

Another question about cash on collection - (sorry, I'm new to selling)

Just sold an item which I have listed as cash on collection due to size. When you say invoice, how is that done? I've looked but couldn't see anything, it just says Ebay have sent a payment reminder?

Also, do you get the buyer to sign anything to say they've collected the item?

CocktailQueen · 02/02/2015 22:30

NOpe, don't get buyer to sign anything.

After you sell something, there is an option in your Sold Items list to Send Invoice.

Thanks, I've found that and invoiced. Getting a little bit annoyed as it's 24 hours since the end of the auction and the buyer is AWOL Hmm
