Anyone fancy joining me?

I am in the middle of de cluttering misery and making a bit of cash out it might ease the trauma Grin

As it's free listing at the moment, I am taking advantage and getting a few things on there.

I have at least two big bags of things that have been pushed into a cupboard to be ebayed one day Hmm. Going to try and make a start on them this evening/tomorrow.

My target is £300 by Feb half term.

Ooh, thanks for the tip. Loads to list...

glammanana · 23/07/2015 09:25

It is showing BIN with best offer but one of my pals tried it without best offer and still got free listing so maybe a glitch or she was lucky but its worth as try as I don't do best offers it draws out all the numpties who make daft offers on quality items and it takes up too much time imo.Good Luck Ladies with your sales x

PurpleFrog · 23/07/2015 10:15

glamma - you beat me to it. I was just coming on to tell people about the offer as well. Although, since I still have this month's 20 listings to use, I am unlikely to make much of a dent in it!

Minamlistandlovingit · 02/08/2015 15:43

Old tread I know but I'd thought I'd revive it and find out how everyone's got on so far .
Myself I have got rid of thousands of items to charity , I didn't even know I owned that much , last month alone 3 car loads went to charity and 7 full tardis dump runs , I've managed to re do my back garden , my sons room my daughters room the whole family has learnt giving away is good as it frees up room for the things you truly want in your life .
In the last 24 hours I've managed to do the 100 item challenge again . Plus a dump run I haven't included in the item count .To be honest I'm shocked after last months purge , but I feel s much lighter and free and I know those things that held me back are going to help others in more than one way ????

The image I have uploaded is the Bain of my life (when I moved in 2 and a half years ago the shed was rotting away I'm shocked it lasted this long so last month I cleared it out got a little plastic thing 1/6th of the size from b and q for £70 and put the remainder of items that I acuity need in it this allowed me to have the perfect bbq space in my yard ) loving life now

Err... this is actually an ongoing thread, not an old one! Smile

So, have you been eBaying stuff as well Minamilistandlovingit?

Lappy214 · 04/08/2015 12:43

Thought I'd join the thread for the summer hols which is when I turn the house upside down to clear out surplus stuff/clutter.

Have made almost £20 (after expenses) in the last week selling kids outgrown shoes (they have wide feet and wide fittings seem to sell well) and pyjamas. Have some character branded clothing to get rid off too as I found from experience some kids cartoon type characters can be very fleeting in popularity- best to get rid as soon as item is outgrown.

Have a massive item to haul down from the loft which should fetch £40 hopefully and some kids bedding items then I'll move on to kids books/dvds etc. I never ventured into the garden shed last year, there may well be something in there I can list......

Gutted that I didn't get my act together in time to take advantage of the 100 free listings weekend, especially as I've now seen that from mid August auto-relists will start to count as one of your 20 free listings per month so I'll need to watch where I've ticked for am item to auto-relist if it doesn't sell.

Lappy214 · 04/08/2015 13:30

Just a reminder folks to get any good condition school uniform items your kids may have outgrown listed a.s.a.p. as it seems to be selling well (batched up) in my area.

Lappy214 · 05/08/2015 13:09

Check for messages again as I've just got a 100 free listings offer 5th-10th August.

PurpleFrog · 05/08/2015 14:28

I have that offer as well. I'm surprised, since I had just had one 22nd-27th July. I had better get some more stuff looked out.

July was a bit of a dead loss, mainly because I was away for a week and ran things down in advance. I only sold two items last month and one hasn't got there yet. Sigh! However, this month I have already sold four things, so I'm feeling a bit more positive about eBay. Smile

Lappy214 · 05/08/2015 17:29

Going better than I thought, despite a "my son got hold of my phone and bid without me knowing, so I don't want the item I won" chancer I've now made over £30 after all expenses.

I mostly use myhermes so it's tracked all the way to avoid the "item not received" swindlers.

Lappy214 · 24/08/2015 02:32

How's everyone else doing, it's gone a bit quite on here ?

Made £85 to date, hope to hit £100 by end of Aug.

Wondering if aiming for £100 per month in the run up to Christmas would be too ambitious......

PurpleFrog · 10/09/2015 15:17

August was pretty good for sales but I really need to get some spare time to sort out more stuff. I have precisely 3 items on eBay at the moment. I have just taken delivery of a lot of plastic crate with lids, mainly for storing stuff under the eaves in the loft. Some are to replace cardboard boxes which are feeling a bit damp, others will be filled from scratch. Hopefully, I will find stuff to eBay in the process!

Lappy214 · 10/09/2015 19:33

Purple

we've started a new "Pre Christmas ebay challenge" thread f you'd like to join us.

I think I have the same loft storage boxes system as you have just bought. My plastic crates with lids are pretty heavy when full though and I wish I'd bought smaller ones.

glammanana · 12/09/2015 10:20

Purple Good to see you have been busy sweetie I' ve done very well this past month with my Las Vegas Wedding fund I have managed to not spend anything I've made and just transferred it to my Bank Account, but after Christmas I will hit the ads for a very OTT Mother of the Groom outfit and hat,a girl has to show Americans how we dress up for weddings haven't I ? LOL.
Last month I was fortunate to be given by an Aunt lots of bits and bobs when she downsized her house, scarf's and perfume from Liberty so I got good bids on them all I cleared after fees & postage £367.70 so well pleased.
I don't have to do Christmas sales as I don't post for the couple of weeks before and after as the post really annoys me when people expect their items the next day nearly.
I've not got free listings this week but have done quite well over the past two months with 100 free listings and been invited to 4 so not bad at all.
