Suspect a jacket I bought is pleather..

It was advertised as leather.

No labels at all inside it so I can't say definitely one way or the other.

I have messages the seller via ebay but no response in a couple of hours

Isn't there a way of telling, like holding a lighter to it or something? (if it melts it's plastic, if it doesn't it's leather. Or something).

Have the labels been cut out?

No sign of any cut out labels, just as if there were never any.
I don't think I want to melt it, I might want to try and return it.

Seller assures me it is leather, but someone else has had a look and thinks no way is it leather.

I've asked her to accept return and refund, still waiting for an answer. What do I do if she doesn't reply to me?

Open a case with EBay & also try and Google 'How to tell if leather is real'
their could be a few ways of been able to tell

Should smell like leather.

Can you see the back of it anywhere on the garment? should be able to tell by that. Leather does not always have a strong leathery smell. However if you are not happy then you should ask seller if you can return.

Seller accepted the return and has refunded me in full. Good result although she still insists it is leather. It wasn't.
