Non-receipt of Tracked Item

I ordered a pair of boots to be delivered to my work address, previously no issues with delivery of any orders. Seller sent tracked. Royal Mail today saying item delivered but name given is not anyone employed by our Building security or reception and I have not received boots.

Contacted seller and advised them but they are refusing to help because as far as they are concerned item was delivered Hmm

What can I do? Am I destined to lose the money and the boots? Confused

What do you want the seller to do here? It has come to your building. Either it has ended up with the wrong company or someone has nicked it but if it was properly addressed I can't see the seller has done anythng wrong.

Something like this has happened to me (delivery to the building but not got to me, didn't recognise signature) except it was my wedding dress! I went to all the other companies in my building until I found it as it had been misdelivered internally.

Could be wrong but I think PayPal have something in there terms that takes away your right to complain direct to card company and get them to stand a chargeback, don't know if it is still the case as it may have been taken out as being an unreasonable condition

Surely it's taking you longer to read and write replies on here than to pick up a phone and say 'does Joe bloggs work for you?'.

I was on the train on my way to work. I have now called Royal Mail and they have confirmed that the parcel was not addressed correctly and so the Seller needs to contact them in order to investigate.

I have checked the address information on the Order Details and that is correct, but the address given to Royal Mail by the seller was incomplete.

I have sent the Seller a nice and polite message to that effect and asked them to call Royal Mail, who said they will confirm that Seller did not provide the correct address, so hopefully it will be sorted by the end of the week.

Do you happen to have any temporary postmen on your route at the moment, they do tend to appear just before Christmas and have all sorts of problems finding the correct business/shop/house to deliver too.Make a stink with RM they are responsible ask they to send you a copy of the signature for you to see.
