Ebay fees

Just sold a coat for £46, postage £7, eBay charging £5.60 which seems a bit fierce. Is about 10% normal for eBay fees? Is there any way of reducing eBay fees? Thanks

no - in short. Unless it is a collected item and then you only take cash so don't have the paypal fees. The final amount is about 15% after paypal fees are added in too

Do not pay any kind of listing fees, there are lots of ways to avoid them, and they all involve patient planning. Not much else you can do.

make sure you use the 20 free listings and take advantage of any free listing weekends. Schedule ahead if needed and if auction end in the evening - or do cheeky buy it now with a best offer and free p&p - try Hermes for postage. Under £3 if under a kg and free tracking in that too.
