Buyer has paid but Paypal is witholding funds for 3 weeks

I successfully sold a coat and it seems that the buyer has paid, but Paypal is not making the funds available until the 20th November. Why is this and should I dispatch the coat? Thanks for any advice.

I assume this is one of the first things you've sold through that eBay account? Paypal do it to prevent fraud and probably because they earn interest on the money as it's sat in their bank account!

You should post the coat straight away and enter tracking info into Paypal - the funds will become available when there's proof it's been delivered .

try Hermes. If under 1kg £2.98 with full tracking. Better, and cheaper, than RM.

That's a good tip. Just paid £5 to send coat 1st class RM. Will look into Hermes next time.
