So the buy now price is 225, I put max bid 75 and can see message "You're the high bidder but the reserve price has not been met."

However I am the highest bidder with a bid of 1.04 at the moment!

Does that mean that until I enter the amount which matches sellers reserve price I will be sitting on this low price and providing there are no further bids this auction will just time out?

This is exactly the reason why I will NEVER bid on any item with a reserve price. The only way you can win the item is if someone else bids against you, which is very annoying if no one does.

I don't know why people arse about with reserve prices. Makes me want to send a message saying 'Just start the damn auction at the lowest you're willing to accept and see if anyone bids ffs.'

I am not prepared to pay more than 75 anyway so shall consider this auction as my learning experience
