I am about to start selling some stuff in ebay which haven't done for a could of years. I used to always use the post office. Is my Hermes better? would someone mind talking me through how it works.

Also, I have bought packaging materials on ebay before, big plastic envelope things, but I have noticed more and more that thins I buy are arriving in plastic bags all sellotaped up. Any ideas as to how to package things?

Thanks in advance!

I keep all the plastic bags that I receive stuff in, and reuse them taped up. I also use my Hermes, it's only £3 for a parcel under 1kg and it's tracked. Also for us the local drop off point is our village shop so I can leave the parcel before i go to work.

I use Hermes - link it to my eBay account. Reuse packaging or buy cheap on eBay. Entirely up to you. Make sure you don't charge lots for it though p&p is just that, not for profit.

I use my hermes, have never had a parcel go missing with them unlike the royal mail who are useless. They collect the item from you as well which saves queuing in the post office with the dc.

How do you know what to charge with my Hermes? Does it estimate it for you if you are linked to it on ebay? I have just read some really negative reviews so I am a bit nervous, but it is so much cheaper than Royal Mail, and I know high p&p puts people off

You can put the weight and dimensions in the Hermes website and they tell you how much.

most clothing items will be under £1Kg so £2.98 - but yes, you are wise to check weights first and do not rely on the eBay price estimator. And you will find neg reviews for any courier if you google.
