It's rare I get that many watchers
I listed it for a week (item of clothing) and the watch count was good from the start.. within minutes actually.
it went up to 25 watchers
and listing ended last night. It got relisted but seriously??! it was / is a buy it now and you'd expect a no sale with a few watchers
but 25??!! Shock

lower the price or add a best offer?

SophieBarringtonWard · 19/10/2014 08:19

Probably too expensive?

What time did the auction finish? You have to get the timings right, you need to avoid kids tea time/bedtime as well as a bit later for when parents are eating (if they eat later!) but before it gets too late! Also, an auction ending on a Saturday night probably isn't the best time for people to remember to bid!

Chrissy41 · 19/10/2014 08:23

It was a buy it now so finish time is irrelevant.

Yeah that does happen sometimes. Have you checked for sold items that are similar to guage price? If it's in the right ball park then just relist. Some of the watchers may have similar items to sell so are interested in watching yours. Some probably did forget about it. I have relisted some things a few times and they have sold for the price I wanted but if you want to get rid then try starting an auction but end at a good time (Sun or Mon eve seems to be recommended). I must admit 25 watchers is great for clothing and I would have expected a sale too with that.

it did finish late last night, but it was a saturday night! I don't have kids so I forget some people do go to bed 'not late' on a saturday night :-) I actually thought, people will come home from the pub and maybe too drunk to care about the price , it is a Topshop item so aimed at a slightly younger market than me
The price I chose was based on completed listings. I've lowered it slightly today

the finish time for a buy it now is not relevant. I think you should increase the price and add the best offer option. And list for 30 days.
