problem with purchase, discovered after leaving +ve feedback

I bought a pair of black boots,arrived promptly, a little dull so thought I'd polish them. Didn't do this straight away and left feedback first.
When I polished then, a load of tiny white paint dots appeared on both boots! I can only guess that the seller had covered these somehow. Can I pursue a request for a refund or can anyone suggest anything else? Happy to keep for a lower price. Cheers

When was the transaction? Depending on how recent it was you'll be looking at, as an initial step:
contacting seller to arrange something that hopefully suits you;
opening a case in ebay; or
opening a case with Paypal.

I'd suggest dealing with this now rather than later because there are time limits you don't want to miss. Hopefully the transaction was less than 30 days ago, or at least less than 45 days ago.

Your positive feedback is irrelevant so don't worry about that.

yes of course you can - feedback makes no bearing on a case. Only a seller can award a partial refund - eBay will ask you to return or may give a no fault refund and let you keep them.
