Quick advice needed! messed up selling item!

I've just listed loads on ebay first time I've used it since it changed. Shocked to just see I've sold an item. My mistake as I thought it was a 7 day auction with the figure as a starting price. This was going to be one of my best sellers and I could really do with the money. Buyer has paid via PayPal 2 minutes ago. What would you do? Should I honour it or email and try to explain. Other identical items are selling for more.am gutted at my stupidity

So you listed as a BIN instead of an auction? You will have to message the buyer, apologise and explain and ask for them to accept a cancellation request after you refund (so you get your fees back). They don't have to and could leave you a neg for not performing, however I think most people would be ok about it as mistakes can happen. Give it a try and see what they are like.

Just to update, I contacted buyer and they agreed.feel bad but relieved. Won't make that mistake again! Thanks.
