Question about buyers with no feedback

I've had to re-list a DVD player because the last winner didn't pay. S/he only had 2 feedbacks and had only been a member for a few months. Now in this next auction (ends tomorrow) the high bidder has no feedbacks at all and has only been a member for less than a week! Can i stop him/her bidding ?

not sure you can after they have bid but you can adjust your settings to block buyers - under an amount of fb so it doesn't happen again. Remember you can also exclude certain countries too and set your buyer requirements to the strictest level which I think is 2 unpaid strikes in 12 months.

I had a recent non payer with 2 fb so I understand your concern. Hopefully yours will pay up no problem - I guess people have to start somewhere with fb

It would be good if they started slowly though. The person with zero feedback who the other week bought a £200 brand new item from me is either a return buyer chosing to restart with a fresh account or a brand new buyer who's simply reckless. Neither is the kind of buyer I would choose to deal with.

yes cancel their bid and block them - and tighten your settings too.

Thanks all. I agree you have to start somewhere but it's a real pain when people don't pay. I've already restricted my sales to UK only but I will tighten up on feedbacks, I think.
