Hello
Someone has purchased a mens shirt from me won on Saturday it was a late bid just before it ended, anyways I haven't received payment yet, What do I do next?
Do I send a payment reminder or just open a none payment case?
Sorry I only sell bits and bobs and never had this problem before!
TIA

I send a very polite email along the lines of "Many congratulations on winning the auction. Can I please ask you to make contact regarding payment/delivery or payment per the auction terms by x date. many thanks". Then on x date if no payment go ahead with NPB.

it is polite, states what you are expecting and is clear on timeliness. We all forget so it is not rude.

My worst ebay transaction since 1992 was when recently someone files a NPB against me for £1-99 after 2 days. I paid, wrote and apologised. Then had payment bounced, negative feedback on a +, rude emails. The lot. Ebay dealt with it all.

It's only been 48 hours. If it were me, I'd give them another day, then send a polite reminder, and ask them to pay when they a moment. If no response within another 48 hours, I'd send another email saying if you don't hear from them or receive payment within 24 hours, you will have to open a non payment case, thanks for their understanding.

Thank you will send a message and wait, not trying to be impatient but I am disabled and cant get to the post office so have to go when hubby is off work so I dont want to keep them waiting.

I didnt want to open the No Payment Case but just unsure how it all works! Total ebay novice!

I would open a case now. You can do it after 48 hours and it still gives them a further 4 days to pay. There is no point waiting or sending reminders I don't think.

On my listings I always state that I will try to post within 3 days of cleared payment, but cannot guarantee. I live in a village with no post office any more and it does have to fit in to a trip to the nearest town. Generally good communication with the buyers means they are not worrying about heir item. I have found for larger parcels Collect+ to be good from a local Nisa. (Not so good for ceramics, but everything else).

Try My Hermes instead - cheaper and they collect from you too.

I sent a message and a reminder so lets see what happens, I totally wouldn't mind holding it for them until they could make payment if they had sent a message to ask I have just had no contact from them at all which seems strange as the bidded in the last few mins of the auction ending.. its only a mens shirt so doesn't take up any room as such so not a problem. Just Communication works both ways!

Posting works well hubby works shifts so normally has 2 days off a week that he can go to thr postoffice.. I dont sell much on ebay anyways but will keep my hermes in mind thanks!
