Why do you think people have this? Buyer has this and now I'm worrying about the feedback they might leave for people (well..me). They did pay straight away.

It used to be useful for hiding what you had bought (but I'm not sure that still applies). In case it was sex toys or you didn't want your spouse to see their birthday present.

I don't like the fact that you can't see what f/back they have left for others, so if you have a problem you can't see if they're normally hard to please.

Because sellers can't leave false positive, false positives can easily be removed, buyers have nothing to hide about seller opinions of them.

Does seem a bit odd. It shows how many fb they have but doesn't show any of the comments they have left for others or received. Guess I will have to wait & see. Just hope they are not going to be a problem.

I think it's now applied as a default setting. sellers need to unselect the option if they don't want it to be a private sale.

No, all feedback comments on this persons account are hidden. This isn't default it is highly unusual. I think you mean that what people buy is now private which I think has come in.

Just as I thought this person has actually messed me about and is returning an item saying waist is too small when all measurements were given in description. Sigh...just had a feeling it would be trouble. Now it will be the pain of will they want me to refund return P&P which I don't want to as all the measurements and details were fully explained. AARRGGHH!!

Plus it was quite an expensive and rare item and I will be furious if they have ruined it. I have said maybe they should send recorded but anything else I can do to avoid this getting any worse?
