Went and sold DD's pushchair on eBay (sob!).

It is now packaged up, and I'm looking on the parcel2go website at the different quotes:

  • needs to be a collection service

I have "guesstimated" the parcel weight as 15kg - is this vitally important to the level of postage paid when it's a bulky item?

Anyone have any recommends/avoids out of the various companies?

Bit annoyed with myself that obvs. nothing is going to happen with it til Monday morning now anyways.

I have used APC and parcels2go for pushchairs and bikes, but have always taken them to the depot.

Although Parcels2go depots are post offices.

I've used parcel2go too, with collection. I think if you actually go on the couriers individual website, the weight is normally in a band of sizes, so doesn't matter if it off a bit.

I think myHermes is the one I've used most often for larger/heavier parcels. I've had absolutely no problems at all with them. In my area the same courier collects for myHermes and Yodel- she's literally just knocked at my door as I'm typing, funnily enough! Really pleasant, efficient, and happy to collect from my garage if I'm not home.
