What would happen if I accidentally bought a fake bag on ebay? Any chance of a refund?

I've bought and paid for a new Marc Jacobs bag, I asked the seller lots of questions and am expecting the bag in the next day or do.

I'm starting to panic in case it turns out to be fake.

Would I have any chance of a refund? What would I need to do?

I bought a Louis Vuitton bag which was clearly fake when it arrived. Seller feigned ignorance and claimed it was a gift which she had thought was real and offered a refund of the purchase price but I had to pay postage to return it and didn't get back the first postage so was about £12 out of pocket

Yes I bought the bag via paypal, honestly the bag hasn't even arrived yet and I'm worried sick..

I've never sent so much on a bag via ebay, I don't really know what possessed me to get it- I've been saving for a new bag for a while and this was the one I wanted at £100 cheaper than I can buy it for. However I know that ebay is riddled with fakes and I'm so worried.

Yes, if it was advertised as genuine you can get a refund if it's fake, so long as you claim within the relevant grace period.

You can check it against the pictures uploaded here and if you are still concerned post a query here to get the Marc Jacobs obsessives to check it out for you.

I'm sure it will be fine and it's a lovely bag. She does seem to sell a lot of brand new stuff though so has either got more money than sense or works in the trade and can buy cheaply.

I wouldn't worry too much - her feedback appears good and your handbag should be well packaged because by the looks of things she's bought special bags to send all her items in!!

Anyone would think the OP was advertising the seller.....
