Yikes! Car sold quickly, now what?

I listed a kit car on Ebay and it sold really, really quickly. I now realise I haven't thought it through as well as I might have done. I am worried I will get ripped off via PayPal, or the buyer will haggle me down when he arrives, or something like that (although he sounds fine on the phone). I am also worried about how to transfer ownership in terms of the paperwork, so I am not responsible once it leaves our driveway. Is anyone able to advise me?

The autotrader website has a lot of info about private selling cars.

I would just get cash on collection not paypal. Dont let them haggle you down.

I will have a look, thank you.

cash only - never ever take paypal for a car. You need to fill in their details and send the form to dvla yourself - do not trust them to do it.

Cash only, don't let them knock the price down I presume if he wanted to he could have viewed it before bidding.
Get them to sign and fill in address on log book, you keep the left hand side with all the details on and you post it to DVLA, they take the little slip on right hand side that says new keeper. I always write on a bit of paper £* recieved for car. Sold as seen.

Just to second everyone else. NEVER take PayPal for an item which is being collected. Cash only.

Don't let anyone try to haggle on the price just inform them you have a list of people ready to pay the winning bid if they don't want it,have someone with you when they call just as a security matter really.
