Sending to Jerusalem

Silly me didn't list international postage but the winning bidder is from Jerusalem. They've bought a pair of children's crocs (eBay advised £5.50 for UK postage) and are waiting for me to adjust the invoice before paying. Help!

Pressed send too soon -

How much should I charge for postage?

Thanks.

Package it up, weigh it and use the Royal Mail site to work out postage?

You need to weigh the parcel ( at a post office if you have no scales) and ask them how much it will cost to post. or go to the Royal Mail website and calculate online.

combust22 · 22/07/2014 07:39

It is always unwise to guess weights or postage amounts!

mindyourown1 · 22/07/2014 07:41

or you send a cancellation request to get your fees back and relist with tighter settings to prevent buyers from abroad.

HexBramble · 22/07/2014 07:56

Thanks all for your help. I'll pack it up and do the calculations.
I won't cancel - my fault and not buyer so I'll tighten my auction for next time. Lesson learnt!

If you are going to send an invoice with a revised shipping amount, you might want to pick a Rolls Royce service that is fully tracked, signed for, and insured. This should be pretty expensive. You can send the invoice with a suggestion that if it's too high for the buyer you'd be willing to cancel if they'd like to cancel too.

HexBramble · 22/07/2014 08:52

Ok nauticant, that sounds like a good idea. Thank you.

Actually - another quick question!

I'm using my mobile to sell, but I can't seem to find how to adjust the invoice in order for the buyer to pay? Help!
