Hi,

Bought a table and chairs from ebay. Corresponded with seller prior to purchase and all well. No mention of table being broken.

Paid via PayPal and husband collected.

On getting the table home it is missing a support piece that holds up one extendable end. This means I cannot extend the table, which was advertised as extendable.

Messages seller straight away who denies knowing about it being broken.
I email again explaining fully the problem and she asked if her partner could fix it.

I responded stating I was not sure as the actual support was missing.

She has not responded to this. I sent another message asking if she had been ale to find the piece but again she has not responded.

I can't afford to be out of pocket or have a table that doesn't extend. So what should I do now? It obviously cost me petrol money to go and get it and I don't really want to spend more money on petrol taking it back as I will be out of pocket when I have done nothing wrong.

Thanks

you shouldn't have paid paypal and there is nothing you can do unless you return tracked for a refund. eBay will not refund you if you collected it.

All you can do is neg and leave low stars.

But that is fraud and dishonest and you could get in all sorts of trouble.

All sorted, eventually.

Seller gave me a partial refund so I can get somebody to fix it.

Thanks for the advice.
