Raaaaah!! Seller didn't send my item, the cow!

I bought an iCandy carrycot for DC3 to go with the rest of my icandy buggy. Paid in full, immediately, the moment she sent me the invoice. But the seller didn't send the carrycot, nor did she reply to ANY of my emails. It's taken me 6 weeks of waiting before eBay would finally refund my money.

I can't believe anybody would do that, can you? Especially an item that's clearly for an expectant mother and newborn baby from another mother of a fairly new baby.

Rant over.

6 weeks? You can open a not received case way earlier than that.

I hope you negged and left low stars?

They wouldn't let me open a case until a month after the transaction date. Once the case was opened, I had to wait 8 days (I think?) to give the seller further opportunity to respond. And then wait a further 2 days for the refund to be processed.

I just can't believe that a mother could treat another mother, an expectant one at that, so badly. Why didn't she just lie and say "sorry, I've lost the item" or "I've discovered some damage on it. Here, have your money back". But she just took the money and then didn't respond to a single email asking if the item had been sent. I know she's been on eBay since as well, because I can see that she'd purchased a pair of curtains and left feedback for someone, so she can't even lie and say she didn't see my messages.

I'm in no doubts that she was annoyed that it went so cheaply (I was the only bidder) and will try and sell it again soon.

I hope Karma bites her on the arse!

you could have opened one much sooner if you had opened direct with paypal btw - no need to wait for ebay times.

You did neg didn't you - and low stars?

She probably relisted it I guess.

mandbaby · 02/07/2014 09:25

Yes, negative feedback, 1 star for evrything.

She only had 23 stars (100% positive feedback), so now she's got 22 stars (91% positive). If I was her I'd just create a new account. I've got 200+ 100% positive feedback which I'm proud of and would be gutted if anyone left me negative, but that obviously wasn't a priority to her.

My problem is I always see the good in people and I waited the month that eBay suggested as I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. If she only has a young baby herself I know how hard it can be to find the time to parcel things up and get them sent off. Having said all that though, nobody forced her to put it up for auction. You win some, and unfortunately you lose some too.

This isn't that uncommon, it's annoying but there isn't really anything you can do about it. I'm sure you will be able to find a replacement, hopefully before your DC is here.
