Can a buyer trash your feedback when they want 10+ days to pay and collect and I don't agree?

I've sold a large bulky item collection only, ended on Sunday night. I sent a message but heard nothing until Tuesday, when buyer said that her daughter had placed the bid and now didn't want the item, but she (the mother) would have it if I could wait 10 days for payment, and she wanted me to deliver for £20. She said if I couldn't wait she would understand if i relisted.

The item is too bulky for me to keep here (we are wanting it out of the way so we can redecorate) so i said I'd relist and opened a cancellation case.

The buyer has now gone back on this and is refusing to agree to cancel.
She says she wants it but has given no date or time or anything, I don't want to wait 10 days and I won't have time to deliver!

How best to deal with this? Can you still close the cancellation case after 4 days or is it longer than that? Should I/can I open an unpaid case as well? She's going to trash my feedback isn't she!

You need to report the buyer. It's one of the right hand options (pull down?) when you look at your sold items page. I presume all msgs between you were using Ebay's messaging system? Explain the situation like you have here and ask them to pull up your messages to confirm.

If the buyer ignores the cancellation you will get your fees back in a weeks time when it closes automatically.

Thanks, she has left me a neg and I have reported her. It's a shame that buyers are allowed to leave you a neg when their lack of payment is what has ruined the transaction.

Yay, I just had a quick chat with an ebay bod and they have removed the neg.
