I bought an original painting because at the time I fell in love with it; quite unusual and loved the colours too
However i never put it up and no longer want it (reminds me too much of old life with nasty ex and seeing it just hanging around never being put up)
It's not by anyone famous, for all I know could be done by a hobbyist /amateur .Name of Peter Sykes, has signature on the actual painting
I will do it collection only
But I have no idea of what price to start at
I'll put up a photo of it on here in a bit
It's paint on canvas, and framed
It appealed to me because I'm a pagan, as it depicts naked dancing women in a forest
A lesbian friend suggested there could be a gay market for it too - especially lesbian witches because of the sky clad women!
Not really sure how to sell it or for how much. Or if I should even choose eBay at all (can you sell paintings by someone else on Etsy?)
I don't want it to go for to little as it is so unusual
I've just got no room to store it

The photos are taken outdoors propped against my car . Yes I thought it was quite art deco but a copied style
I do have a good camera…the photos are pretty accurate for colour and density at least according to my monitor. But perhaps i need to take in brighter light/different angles
DP tells me there's an auction house at Woburn (I'm new to the area, DP's been here some while), we live near there so might take it
thanks for all the advice and help from all of you! I am quite intrigued now
It is beautiful, the only reason i'm not keeping is as i said, reminds me of living with (abusive) ex who threw it up the loft, and also I'm on JSA right now (since leaving dodgy ex, so i really need the money

I tried auction houses for my butterworth but they wouldn't take paintings worth that little

Sorry...
I emailed a pic of the painting to them but when they were interested they also gave me an indication of price so I listed it on eBay for that.
I also did it special delivery Royal Mail and packed it up carefully with bubble wrap galore.
So you could try emailing auction places first, ask them to value it for sale and if they don't want it at least you get an idea of price.
