Sold items on Sunday and no reply from buyer- how long do I give them?

I don't sell much on eBay. Sold a couple of baby/Toddler related items on Sunday. I emailed both buyers straight away.

One has never replied. The other replied once but has not confirmed a collection time. One item in particular went for a bargain price.

We go away at the weekend and I put in the listings to be collected before that date. I'm reluctant to tell them we are away though to be honest.

I've sent 2 messages to the first one who has not replied. Do I keep hassling them? This is the last time I do collection only. I thought it would be easier than arranging my Hermes but now I'm not sure.

just open your unpaid cases - you can do that within 48 hours - no point messaging all the time. And make sure cash on collection - never paypal.

I did say cash on collection. So I can open a case just because they haven't responded to my emails. I don't want to annoy them though.

I was about to start a similar thread. I sold a clothing bundle on Sunday night and they haven't paid yet. I sent an invoice on Monday saying I could post it Tues if they paid Mon night, still not heard anything. I have another bidder who bid the same amount (who also bought and paid for another bundle) so would much rather sell to them. Do I open an unpaid case already?
Sorry for thread hijack! I don't sell often but when I have I've always received payment almost immediately so not sure what is reasonable.

Banna - yes just open the case as you need to get your fees back. Littlepanda - yes open the case now, don't sell to the underbidder until the case is closed in 4 days time or you risk 2 buyers and only 1 item.
