I received this message today about an bid I won on Tuesday

Hi

I am unable to sell this now..
Sorry for messing u around. I will send ur money back to u as soon as I no how too!
Do u no how I send it back?
Sorry about this
Name x

I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so asked why and got this back

I thought I could sell it but I can't as this was my first pregnancy after a long time.... So I want to keep the top as a reminder of my bump etc
I no it sounds silly & I have wasted ur time but I just can't part with it
I am sorry

I haven't bid on a couple of similar items because I thought this one was a done deal and I'm a bit peed off to be honest as it sound like a bit of a ropey excuse. She's got 100% feedback though so maybe I've just been unlucky? Any advice on what I should do?

leave her a neg and report as a non performing seller.

And to refund she logs into paypal, clicks on your payment and scrolls down to hit refund.

Or give her the benefit of the doubt, be kind and keep looking? Is it really that bad!

LavenderGreen14 · 25/04/2014 14:30

well a bid is a contract and sellers issue a strike if a buyer doesn't pay - why should a buyer be any different if a seller refuses to honour the sale?

Foxsticks · 25/04/2014 14:31

I'm torn between what both of you have said to be honest. I've got one neg after being scammed and I try really hard to offer a good service when selling on ebay. I just don't believe what she said about wanting a keepsake, do people really want to keep a jumper as a keepsake? I'm on my second pregnancy and haven't felt like that. I suspect she thinks she can get a better price because it went pretty cheap. But then again there are so many unreasonable bastards out there I don't want to be one of them!!

has she relisted it either on that account or on another

do an ebay search for the title

Foxsticks · 25/04/2014 14:49

Not that I can see, maybe I should just let it go, it's just annoying when people mess you around.

i would let it go, as long as you get your refund. She's lost 20p for her bother, anyway.

Foxsticks · 25/04/2014 18:12

I've sent her a message saying I'm pretty unhappy but I won't neg or report her if she gets the refund done. I haven't had a response so I'm guessing she doesn't like my message. I'll see what she does.

Thanks everyone

To refund you she needs to go to the transaction in paypal and scroll down to refund. It is easy to do and takes seconds. I would also be one that gives benefit of the doubt in this situation but if no refund turns up you will have to open a not received case.
