Do you think folk prey on last bit of neg feedback?

Had my first bit of neg feedback on my last item I sold. First out of about 180 sold items. Expected as the person did not like the postage price I put on the item and demanded I reduce it which I wouldn't and gave the buyer the chance to pull out but she went ahead. Anyway, that doesn't bother me. Put another item on - toddler shoes which I put as 3.5 F. Buyer has come back demanding a refund as according to her they are 3.5G. However, none of my kids have ever been a G so wondering if she is 'at it'. What do you think? Have asked her to send a photo of the 3.5 'G' bit but as I say, my kids have always had narrow feet. Defo now thinking of giving eBay up as people get stuff cheap as chips and then complain.

yeh me too.. out of 3304 positives, I just got my first neg from someone scamming me, and I am so upset!
and eBay don't want to know.
I keep wondering if it's all worth it
I look at the total of stuff i've sold recently in the last couple of months and it's £600. That sounds amazing, you might say.
but I'm out of work, this is my only source of income. AND…..
Out of that £600… £299 has not been paid! i.e. buyers not paying up. and i've had to open unpaid cases. so that leaves approx £301 i made, and fees and postage come out of that! so that leaves very little.
And the amount of effort, and chasing people up…i think i need to put even more effort into job hunting for a real job.
Ebay didn't used to be this tough!
and its so shit we can't give non payers or crappy buyers a neg

If your kids always have narrow feet then why did you have 3.5F shoes to offer?

My kids have wide feet & there's extremely little difference between F & G, it's a sock width; as much as the width difference from between most people's 2 feet. G to H seems to be a bigger leap.

I've got one item of bad FB and I don't think anyone's scammed me on back of it. Sorry to hear about your woes.

If there's negative feedback leave a little reply. As a buyer it always reassures me.
And one negative doesn't put me off.
