Sold item but just received notification that the account was hacked...

Hi all - I'm new to Ebay so not sure of the protocol here.

I had an item on Ebay and it was sold this afternoon. Bit fishy I thought as it was collection only and the person buying it had an address in India. Later I check again, and it hasn't been paid for, and the address has been changed to a UK address. I also got an email from the account holder saying she had been hacked.

No money has changed hands.

I just wondered what I need to do at my end, if anything? Clearly I want to relist the item but what about fees and things like that? Are they charged if the buyer doesn't pay for the item?

you need to report it to ebay and they can refund the fees. Or you file a non paying dispute in 2 days or send a cancellation request.

You need to do this first and get it closed before you relist. And tighten up your settings too for future bidders.
