Cash on collection only - how?

I understand it's safer to list collection-only items as cash on collection only but I can't seem to do that on my listings - does EBay insist on you accepting PayPal?

People keep buying then paying with PayPal. So far I have been lucky as buyers have left positive feedback but its just happened again so perhaps I am doing something wrong?

I state cash on collection within my listing, then again when I contact them to arrange collection.

Yeah same here but these buyers are sending PayPal payment within a minute or two of auction end!

I just refund them and message them saying I only take cash on collection.

there are a few types of auction where you must take only paypal (1 day auctions is one of them).

LavenderGreen14 · 01/04/2014 16:02

paypal is automatically added by ebay to all auctions - all you can do is state in your listing cash on collection only.

Thanks for the replies. How annoying that there is no way to remove PayPal and list cash only. Meh.

ebay own paypal - they won't tell you that paypal for collected items is risky as they want the fees. Huge flaw that they refuse to do anything about.

Yeah that seems really annoying. The fees are too high too IMHO.
