DD won a dress on ebay & I paid for it - very cheap

I just had a message saying it have been damaged so she will refund the payment

So I sent back along the lines of 'what a shame, DD will be disappointed, could I have a picture so I can explain it to her' as I - being the skeptical person I am - think it's fine & she just hoped to get more for it.....which tbh if she had admitted that I wouldn't have paid & let her cancel

& now I feel bad

I think you were right, sounds to me like they were trying to get out of sending it as they feel they haven't got enough

There's no need at all to feel bad. As a seller I wouldn't mind and I'd be pleased to have an opportunity to convince a buyer that I was an honest sort.

I wouldn't have minded those comments as a seller, either.
Honestly, it wasn't something that people with poor conscience would even notice.
