new ebayer has bought item

new ebayer has won my item but now doesn't want to pay the amount she won it for. Do I just send cancellation request? Any tips with this one please and can I try to sell to another bidder without re listing or do I just have to start again? Thanks.

Frankly, I would open a non-paying bidder dispute with ebay. She knew the price when she bid - if she didn't want to pay that much, why the hell did she bid?

I would open an unpaid dispute after 48 hours - then they can't neg you. Once closed 4 days later then relist or do a second chance offer - and also add her to your blocked bidder list.

and as a seller you can't leave a buyer a neg, or a neg statement, so that is irrelevant anyway.

According to dh, if she has two unpaid item disputes against her, she can't bid or sell (until they are resolved, I think).

Blocking her as a bidder is a good idea, as is a second chance offer to the next highest bidder.

As a seller you can change your settings to stop buyers from bidding with 2 unpaid strikes within 12 months - but there isn't a set amount of strikes which makes a bidder banned. 8 strikes in 1 week only counts as 1 - it is all down to timing.

Buyer is on zero feedback and has sent apologetic message saying she meant to bid £31 but bid £51 by mistake. She has said sorry for messing me around so I was thinking I would just cancel. If I send cancellation request could it backfire on me in any way? Lily is that what you mean by them being able to neg me. Don't think they would and wouldn't I then be able to ask ebay to remove as they have contacted me to say they don't want to buy/
I was just going to click " buyer bid by mistake" or "changed mind" or whatever that option is. How do you offer to next bidder and do I see what that bid was before offering? Thanks.

I have got the setting to auto block buyers with unpaid strikes.

yep - she can refuse a cancellation if she wants to and they can still neg and you will have 10% fvf to pay. A non payer case being closed means they can't neg you and you are guaranteed to get your fees back and they get an unpaid strike too.

Don't offer to underbidder until case is closed against this buyer otherwise you risk 2 buyers and only 1 item.

Bear in mind if you cancel then you'll still pay sellers final fee on the item. I would second chance offer it if possible?

Op you need to click on second chance offer on the drop down next to the item sale.

no - if the buyer agrees to cancel you won't pay fvf on the item - that is the whole point of sending the cancellation request. But if the buyer refuses then you are stuffed.

I would file the unpaid item case, and then you MUST wait 4 days and close that case first until you can do a second chance offer or relist the item.

Yes Lily is right. I do know that you don't pay FVF if they agree to cancel. One of the reasons given is "buyer has changed mind" so it is obviously not fair to charge fvf if that is the case.

I sent cancellation request and they cancelled so case closed so now can I offer dress to someone else? 1scoop is this by drop down box then? Do they get to re bid or do I say do you want to buy at your non winning bid? Will I know what bids were?

Yes second chance offer was accepted and only £1 less than winner's bid. All's well that end's well. I have noticed that there are 2 sale details now for the one item although obviously one is the cancelled sale. I assume neither side leaves feedback and I can delete it or should I keep the details on my sold items list along with the new completed sale of the dress?
