Today. One buyer wants to return item after 3 weeks and another is sending an abrupt message asking where an item is that was won late on Sunday eve (I have posted it already) it is only Tuesday. I am just trying to sell a few things to bring in a bit of cash I am not a corporation. Are some people just rude? What is going on?

Please feel free to tell me about your bad buyers. I do know not all sellers are great but I half kill myself trying to do things well as a seller and still get this sort of thing.

Like you I sell a few bits, so don't do daily runs to the PO. I am always clear that I take at least 3 days to post. If I take longer I may upgrade to 1st class instea of usual 2nd class.

I am having real issues with sellers at the moment!! I have over 700 feedback so am not a novice buyer - definitely far too many business sellers. Had one this week file NPB after 2 days. It is the rudeness that is unnecessary.

Sellers too! I'm sick of being told forlornly that I've got a bargain from them, as if I'm taking food off their table. Yes I know its a bargain, I can't afford full price stuff that's why I'm on eBay.

non paying bidder cases have now changed to be opened after 48 hours, and buyers can return an item which is not as described 30 days after purchase for a refund.

I've had some lovely buyers recently. Sellers on the other hand... One has claimed to have dispatched last Thursday (a week after auction finished) and it's still not here and the seller is not responding to messages. Can't close the dispute til next week. At this point I just want my m

MrsDeanAmbrose · 29/01/2014 08:50

Money back, that should say

LilyBlossom14 · 29/01/2014 08:54

you mean you have to wait to escalate the dispute? Don't close it until you have your refund.

MrsDeanAmbrose · 29/01/2014 09:14

Seller has a week to respond before I can escalate. I shall be closing nothing until I either have money or item. The annoying thing is they aren't regular sellers so probably won't care about getting a strike and a negative

Well I guess there are bad buyers and bad sellers.

Personally, despite the fact buyers can send items back for up to 30 days I think it is a bit of a cheek and anyone can decide an item is not as described even if it IS exactly as described and they have probably worn it too! I also do think it is rude and unecessary to start asking where item is less than 48hours after you bid on it. I always post the next day or at worst within 2 days of end, first class, well wrapped in tissue and new mail bags. It's ebay not Harrods! Rant over. Sorry.

Item was returned 3 weeks after sale and smelled strongly of deodorant under the arms. I sent it freshly washed. She has the full refund and return p&p. As I said...some buyers! Free clothing rental service anyone?BBL :(

What actually can be done if this happens? Pretty much nothing I guess.

Luckily I have had lots of very nice buyers too.

When I buy I pay immediately at the end of the auction, when I sell I have everything ready and post the next day, informing the buyer that the item has been posted in a personal email. I think this is common courtesy and if you don't pay for 2 days or leave items unposted for 3 days I think you are asking for trouble.
