Stained outfit

Okay I bought a baby outfit on eBay, it has arrived this morning. The parcel was ripped and wet, I assume this caused the envelope to rub against outfit and it has yellow stains on it.

I've emailed seller to say it has arrived stained, they have offered a refund on return. However, I want the outfit but obviously not if it is stained as it's unwearable.

If I washed it, does that mean I can't return it?

you should return in the condition received - washing it normally means you have accepted it. Maybe ask for a partial refund.

That's what I thought. It's such a cute outfit and would be happy to keep if stains came out but don't not sure I want to risk it.

I would wash it personally. Did it cost much? Can you be bothered to send it back?

Will they be able to tell that you washed it? If not, then I would try to wash it but pretend I didn't if stains don't come out.

I looked on eBay and it only cost me £3.49 so don't think it would be worth the hassle of returning. I'm going to try washing it as I think it might come out.
