Posting crockery?

Have got some bits of china crockery on, they're discontinued so was hoping they'd sell. At the moment I've put collection only but am aware this will limit my audience massively.

Is there any safe/ recommended couriers for china? Or is it as daft as I initially thought??

Thanks

I've done loads, not that difficult, international even. Most tricky part is with weight and size limits for the cheapest rates.

I go with the double box method. Wrap in bubble wrap in a small box snugly (no movement when you shake).
Pad out a larger box with something like cardboard, although plastic bits and pieces can work well if they fill the space & cushion, or pieces of styrofoam (lighter than cardboard). Place small box inside the large box completely surrounded by padding materials.

Shake large box there should be no movement. Imagine throwing it down the stairs. If you think it might well survive fine then you've packed well enough.

ps: no courier insures for china, btw, and a lot of people ship successfully with a less fortress like approach. But my nerves couldn't take that. Grin

Thanks lljkk- think I'll give it a miss, I'm not upto double boxing and then stressing about it breaking Grin
