Selling some stuff on eBay at the moment and have some big / heavy items to get rid of (eg car seat base, baby gym) which is going to cost a small fortune to send via Royal Mail. I was thinking of offering courier for bigger items to attract buyers outside local pick up area but have no experience of this and there seem to be loads of them. Can anyone give me any recommendations or advice? Many thanks Smile

Everyone uses Myhermes for heavier small items or those up to about the size of a small stereo because they're cheapest courier. Beyond that go to Parcelmonkey website to price up the cheapest courier to mainland UK postcodes. On your listing choose "other 3 day courier" for the courier (so you're not tied to anyone specific, can get the cheapest rate on the day) and make it clear that the courier price is to mainland only, you will charge more for Highlands or other odd UK places.

For items that are hard to package safely then you'll have to revert to collection only.

Thanks Thanks. I knew about Myhermes but not about Parcelmonkey

Hi, I have used MyHermes and CollectPlus.
myHermes was great as they pick up from your house or you can drop of at a shop. When I dropped of at shop, I had better service when sending by MyHermes.
