what to do with a paypal balance, transfer to bank or keep in paypal

ive just sold a phone on ebay, would it be better to keep the funds in my paypal and just use the balance to buy things? does anyone know how much would i have to pay if i wanted to transfer the funds to my bank account?

It's free to transfer to your bank account.
But I think to top up your paypal balance later might take a few days which is annoying to sellers (don't trust me to have that right).
How much you leave depends how often you use the paypal account, iyswim. If you barely use it then just leave like £30-£50 in there & transfer the rest to somewhere more useful to you.

I transfer to my bank account otherwise I fritter it away. I have my bank account linked to the paypal account and so any transactions go straight from there for free.

as an aside make sure you send the phone special delivery or courier to be adequately insured.

I used to take it out but now you can pay with paypal on so many sites Lakeland, etc that I just leave it in. Soon disappears!

I leave it in. A lot of websites now use paypal.
