Selling on Amazon/ebay - beginners tips??? Do you have to be 18?

DS1 wants to have a clearout and sell his wii, games and lots of good books too.

We've got as far as registering as a seller and are being asked for details. Can anyone give me a few hints please? Do you have to be 18 - ie do I have to be the listed seller? If so do I have to enter the income on my tax self assessment?!!

Hi, you have to be 18 to have an ebay account, but under 18,s can use a parents account as long as they have parents permission.
I think possibly you csn earn so much on ebay before its taxable but im not sure on that.

Another good tip is to take good clear photos of items, a lot of people put off if they can't see items clearly.
Also console games sell well especially if boxed and with instructions.

you don't pay tax selling your own belongings, but if you buy items to sell on then you are liable for tax.
