Think this may have happened to me. Item not as described so opened a case after having no luck with seller but it now says she is not a registered user? I paid through paypal if that helps?

no you can't close it yourself - you can lose it for a variety of reasons including too many cases opened against you or not paying your ebay fees.

Bluemonkeyspots · 23/12/2013 22:38

What would that mean for getting money back through paypal?

his account will go into negative balance if necessary to repay you

have you opened a not as described case?

SandyDilbert · 23/12/2013 23:14

sorry - just re-read. Ebay will prob tell you to return tracked, then input tracking info and then you will get refund

What size is the item, MyHermes or Collect+ may be cheaper than Royal Mail.

Do I get refunded postage for returning the item? And if I do is it both lots of postage (I.e sending the item to me then me returning it?)

no you will have to pay return post but will get all of your original payment back.

Ebay-Paypal guarantees means they will repay you the original price out of their own funds if they have to. So you will get that money back. Just keep following instructions as the case proceeds; I think you can escalate for a decision after 8 days.

We had a refund for faulty item from Amazon other day & didn't even return it (couldn't contact seller).
