How long do I wait?

I purchased an item at the start of the month, said they would ship within 2 days of payment. I paid paypal as soon as I won.

They haven shipped and I've sent 2 emails and had not reply. How long should I wait?

Thanks

I would open a not received case in the resolution centre now

Gillysilly · 12/12/2013 10:25

Really? I'm really disappointed as I want it.

If I open a case is there still a chance the seller can get on contact and send it?

yes there is a chance, but waiting to open a case is not going to prompt them to send it either. And if they aren't going to send it get your refund sorted so you can buy elsewhere.

I wouldn't wait. If they were genuine, they would have replied to your messages by now or indeed, sent the item!

Gillysilly · 12/12/2013 10:52

Ok thanks, I will wait till the end of the day and then open one. I don't understand why they haven't sent it, I paid straight away and I paid a reasonable price that they should be happy to get.

you have to wait another 8 days to escalate so get on and open it. you can close it if the item turns up

They could be travelling & hence out of contact (hence email silence). But whatever the reason, not your problem, file INR now.

Gillysilly · 12/12/2013 11:11

Yes I've had problems before with not having it sent and emailed seller and I've always had a reply to these emails (various reasons for the delay) and it has then been sent quickly with apologies so hearing nothing is unusual.

I got an email response saying they posted it and the delay wa due to hospitalization Hmm (nothing to do with me opening a case)

I've not replied as I'm waiting for my package now and don't want to engage in case it never arrives and I ruin my case.

just don't close the case unless it arrives. That is the only way you will lose out.

Gillysilly · 15/12/2013 23:00

Yes I definitely won't close the case and I won't reply either till I have it. I find not replying hard though as I like to reply so it is hard to just ignore.

you can reply if you want - it makes no difference to the case.
