Stated that I would send the item second class Royal Mail, but its a bit big for the price I quoted. Can I send it using an alternative method for the same price I charged??

yes you can - but let the buyer know how you are sending it a different way. Try My Hermes or Collect +. You are not allowed to ask the buyer for more money after the auction has ended.
