How long to wait for payment from a "best offer"?

Was selling an item on BIN or Best Offer. got an offer on Sunday night (after I'd logged off) accepted it on Monday Morning and sent an invoice but they haven't paid yet. Now, normally if it was a bid that had won I'd expect payment in 3 or 4 days tops as they may not be actively tracking all their bids and not on the PC every day, but you'd think that for an item you'd made an offer on that you'd check to see if they had responded and then pay? or is that a bit naive?

I know it's not that long, but I could have had it posted and away out my hair (and have £30 in my paw!!)

Oh, and I had a message about the same item from someone else asking if it was still for sale last night. I of course said it wasn't.

48 hours then open an unpaid item case, still gives another 4 days to pay. Then if they don't pay you can relist after those 4 days and get it sold.

Thanks Sandy, they had hundreds of feedback and it was 100% positive, so I just sent another message letting them know that I had someone else interested and they paid up so its all good. :)
