Private feedback help....

I sold my car 2 weeks ago to a buyer with no stars. They then failed to contact me at all. After several emails and phone calls from me they told me they needed to withdraw the offer. Frustrating but hey ho. I amended the ad to say that due to being messed about by a buyer with no feedback if anyone with less than 10 feedbacks wanted to bid they should contact me first. Now in my new listing the high bidder has the words "(private)" after their username. What does this mean and can I find out if they are reliable or not?? I just need the car gone as the new car has arrived and needs the space on the drive. Does anyone have any wisdom? Thanks

a buyer's feedback doesn't really tell you anything as sellers cannot leave negs any more, but if you don't want to sell to them block them and cancel their bid.

did you file a non paying bidder case or a cancellation against the first buyer to get your fees back.

Just trying to work out how to do that now sandy. Why would the buyer block their feedback though?

they may have negs from buyers, they may just want to be private so family can't see what they are buying - there are lots of reasons.

So the first sale you haven't cancelled of filed a non paying bidder case against them? You need to do that in the resolution centre from myebay.
