Would you send buyer replacement item?

Hi, posted buyer's item last Saturday 2nd class. Just had a message saying it hasn't turned up and can I send out a replacement as soon as possible. To me this seems a little early to assume the parcel is lost and I am tempted to ask him to hold on a bit longer but obviously don't want negative feedback. What would you do?

it isn't lost for 15 working days so way too early - if after that time it hasn't arrived then you will have to refund or replace - but send with signature. Seems odd they are chasing so soon, wonder if it has arrived and they now want another for free?

not sure what it is you're selling but maybe they neeed it for a certain date

I would politely ask them if they can hold on a few more days; the post is definitely moving very slow now (pre Xmas rush?!)

Thanks all, I just logged onto ebay planning to ask him to wait a bit longer but had another message saying it arrived this afternoon! ChazDingle, it is a likely gift item and looks like he was just impatient!
