Argh - bloody eBay/ iPad!!

Opened a non payment case after buyer messed me around (first time)

Went in to close it - and iPad is playing up, it seemed to only accept me checking the box that days buyer paid...and then of course it closed it immediately.

No way to go back in and change it
Can't open another case

Tried CS chat - got kicked out
10 min wait on phone

Have resorted to email, but this is driving me bonkers!

Anyone done this before, will they reverse it and put the right info as I really want the buyer to get a strike for messing about?

you can relist it now, but the buyer won't get a strike and you won't get your final fees refunded.

Make sure you add them to your blocked bidder list too.

I put it on during a FLW (and there is another one coming up) so not too bothered about that.

More annoyed about them not getting the strike TBH - that seems to be the only way to actually penalise these buyers

I know this is an age-old rant, but it's crazy that you can't leave neg feedback for buyers. When I looked at her f/b, it's a 100% score - but about one third of the comments all say 'didn't pay, didn't collect'

I see lots of advice not to leave neg comments...surely if it's factual that's ok? (but since you often don't find out the crummy buyers til they don't pay for your item, I guess it doesn't make any actual difference)

Argh, annoyed about not getting the strike

But have added her to the list to stop her bidding in future

no it is your final value fee you want refunding - that is 10% of the final price.

no you cannot leave any negative statement on feedback for your buyer.

You can try a passive aggressive comment; like
"Sorry you didn't want the item after all"
Not exactly negative, but will make other sellers realise they've been a PITA.

Of course, I'm being an idiot - eBay will charge me because they think I have been paid...

So will they accept I have made a mistake when closing the case?

I still have the item, obv...

Pleased to say they did respond to my email and they have credited me with the FVF (one whole pound Wink)

Really annoying thing is I don't think they apply strike to buyer

Note to self - only close cases on a proper PC!!
