Problem with item purchased

I need some advice as I'm new to buying off ebay and haven't had any problems until this point.

A few weeks ago I bought a mini Boden coat for DD1 which was used. Seller advised it was in good condition and hadn't been worn much.

On first inspection it seemed fine but after wearing once or twice the lining kept catching in the zip. This morning the lining caught half way and in the rush to try and get the lining out of the zip I've broken the zip (was running late for school so wasn't quite as patient as I could have been!)

Now I understand that I broke the zip in the hurry to sort it out but because it kept getting caught in the first place does that mean it was faulty to start with? The label had been cut out of the coat and now I'm wondering if it perhaps had something on there to indicate that the coat was seconds or maybe the seller just removed because it might have had their child's name on it.

So do I just accept that I broke the zip in the rush of trying to fix it or should I contact the seller to speak to them about the zip constantly catching the lining leading to it getting broken?

Sorry for the essay! TIA

Thats unfortunate but I really think it is your fault and the seller can hardly be held responsible for you haste.

Every kids coat I've had the lining gets caught in the zip sometimes. It's not something I would think to complain about.

Sorry but I think its your problem and nothing to do with the seller.

Ok - thanks for the replies Smile

They probably sold the coat because they had the same problem with it!
