Final value fee on postage....any way round this?

I haven't sold through Ebay for some time, but realise they are now charging a final value fee on postage! I have never over-charged for postage, just charging for the postage and a padded bag. I don't quite understand how they can do this, or if there is any way round it. I can only think that you have to add in the cost when you price the item? Grrr.
Any suggestions/advice appreciated!

No way around it within the rules.
Best to have inclusive postage in your listing so that buyers can't ruin your star ratings.
Lots of people have gone to Gumtree instead.
