~Return parcel by Friday?

I have opened a dispute about a faulty phone yesterday. I have received an email from the seller saying I can return it, but there will be nobody to sign for it at their house as they both work. He's given me his work address where someone will be there to sign every day OR he says send it to his house and it will go to the sorting offce and they will pick it up Saturday. Ebay's resolution centre have said I've got to return it by Friday though? Does this mean to send it by Friday or for it to be actually received by Friday!??

I have tried to email Ebay to ask, but can find no email address. I have run but their waiting time is 22 minutes (I presume it's not a free number?)

Am I best off ...
-sending it to their registered address where no-one is home?
-Sending it to his work address (is sending it to a different address not recommended?)

Do I need to get it there by Friday or do I need to have SENT it by Friday!?

They doesn't seem to have given me much time considering I only received the phone at 11am yesterday!!

do neither - wait until you escalate the case and return to the address ebay give you - not recorded though, send special or courier like MyHermes. If they refuse the parcel you will still get your refund.

You MUST return it to the address given to you by eBay on the return case. If you send it o another address the buyer can say they haven't had it and you will not be covered.
Make sure you send it tracked.

Should add you need to send it by Friday.

I would return asap, but would presume from what you have written eBay will need the tracking info by Friday. I would also only send to the address eBay gave you, not a different address the seller has specified.

when ebay says return by friday it means you need to dispatch item back by friday,

seller is offering options you can send to registered address but as I am not there might be a delay in your refund until I have been to sorting office, I would get it back quicker if you sent to work address from what you have said it seems he is solving matter and is not being rude or difficult I would however send to ebay address, however being tracked if it went missing post office or courier will refund you, though for a quicker paypal refund use that address

it is entirely possible that his business address is registered with ebay anyway as you can register upto 6 addresses
